INNER VIEW -By Sri Madhusudan Naidu As the trustee and an alumnus of our educational institutions, walked in to the interview room, Swami asked him, "How is the work going?" "It's all Your work and You are doing everything", he submitted in all sincerity. Swami seized the moment to teach a lesson, " No, when it comes to work you must think that it is yours and you must do it, but when it comes to ownership, think it is Swami's and you are only serving Him. The problem begins when we do the opposite and start thinking that we own the work and Swami should do the work. Hanuman was a great devotee because when it came to work he took the entire responsibility, but was always clear that everything was for Rama as everything belonged to Rama alone, and He was only a servant. Develop detachment not disinterest. Take great interest in doing God's work, but remain detached thinking God is the owner ultimately. This is the way you should work. | | GLOBAL AKHANDA BHAJAN With the Divine Grace of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the annual Global Akhanda Bhajan will be held at Muddenahalli this weekend. Venue: Sri Sathya Sai Premamrutham Auditorium Start Time: 6.00 p.m. November 12, 2016 End Time: 6.00 p.m. November 13, 2016 | | A PROUD DAY FOR THE GULBARGA CAMPUS October 23, 2016 will always be a special day in the history of the Sri Sathya Sai Vidyaniketanam Campus in Gulbarga. During the recent Alumni Campus Connect which took place at the Gulbarga Campus, a large group of alumni who had graduated from the campus during the last two years, came together. Their youthful enthusiasm and involvement in their campus was quite inspiring. But nobody had expected what these young men had planned that weekend! On the day of the main programme, the Chairman of the campus Sri Govind Reddy, came on to the stage holding a letter and announced that the Gulbarga alumni had something special to share. What followed next was awe inspiring! Two former students of the campus shared with the gathering that the two batches of students who had passed out of the portals of the Gulbarga campus had saved and pooled together some money from their pocket expenses, and wanted to contribute towards the education of one student as part of the Each One Educate One (E1E1) programme. Swami has always emphasised the need to provide free education, as the students will always have gratitude to the society and this will prompt them to give back to the society. As the name denotes, it is an opportunity for each alumni and alumnae from Swami's Institutions to educate one (or more) student(s) who will have the opportunity to experience and benefit from free values-based education. The pride on the faces of the Chairman and staff of the Gulbarga campus was quite evident. These students who had not yet started earning, did not want to wait for another few years before being able to participate and contribute to the Institution. This wonderful gesture by these youngsters left everyone very inspired, and those gathered there that day felt they had a glimpse of the future where they saw Swami's words come true. The Lord had said, while in His physical form, that His students would take His mission forward. Congratulations to the Gulbarga campus and its staff for producing such young men, who at this tender age have already realised their purpose in life - 'Paropakaram Idam Shareeram'. | | Here is another story from Bhagawan's educational Institutions. The story of one student who is immensely benefitting from free values-based integral education. | | | A story of His Love & Grace | | | DIVINE BOOKLETS Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba has been travelling all over the world in the Subtle to keep His promise of visiting their countries. Close to 4,000 villagers have benefitted from this project. Project 1 - Suddahalli, Chickballapur - 100 Families Project 2 - Byranayakanahalli, Chickballapur - 100 Families Project 3 - Neelakantapuram, Visakhapatnam - 150 Families Project 4 - Doddabelle, South Bangalore - 600 Families In each of these villages, the RO plants were installed after doing a thorough need analysis. The unique part of this project was the provisioning of Smart Cards to the villagers - One Smart Card per family which provides 20 litres of clean drinking water every day. This apart, in all the above projects there has been complete involvement of village Panchayat (local self-government in a village). It has been a joint collaboration between the residents of the village and the Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust. The construction of the four-wall shed has been done by the Panchayat office and the RO plant installation / configuration along with training has been provided by the Trust. Bio Sand Filters were installed in seven schools in Chickballapur, where all these schools are utilising this filter for getting clean drinking water for the children. Recently, a drinking water project was taken up at Doddabelle village in South Bangalore, which was the new beginning to the second phase of the continuous efforts of volunteers of the Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, towards village development and transformation. At Doddabelle, many Panchayat members came together for the first time and worked towards getting this RO Plant installed. Villagers understood the effectiveness of the execution and commitment for the project, by lending their hands with open mind. With Swami's grace, the RO water plant was installed in 10 days, providing 20 litres/day of free clean drinking water to 2000 villages! | | | The joy on the faces of the villagers was truly memorable! | | | Sanathana Vani is a platform to invite, associate, speak, listen, contemplate, seek, practise and realise the truth, taught by all the great beings that ever walked the face of our planet.
