Our heart is the temple of God. It is the consciousness, and connects with the Universe. 'Heart does not think, as it knows', Swami has always reminded us. Swami's message to the Sai youth around the world this week: "Do not bother about what others say. You should follow what your heart says. This is important. People will always say something or the other. When I say 'Follow the Master', it means follow your inner self, which is God. That is your happiness and your peace. Practice this, and achieve perfection is understanding your heart. And when you follow your heart it will tell what is good for everyone, not only for you." Yours in Sai Service Bhuvana Santhanam | | | In His Divine discourses, Swami emphasises the importance of loving God through loving and serving people around us. He often says, "Service to man is service to God." Finally, He often repeats that selfless service is one of the two main ways to experience Divine Love. Reflecting upon my personal experiences of doing Seva and being in contact with people who need help and care, has given me many Divine internal gifts. I feel extremely grateful, blessed and lucky that Swami has given me this opportunity to contribute, even if just a little bit, to the lives of these people. | | Rome, city of art and culture, a Seva was organised by the youth and people of mixed ages in partnership with nonprofit associations, which have worked to create the possibility of experiment art (painting and sculpture) for people affected by visual impairments or blindness. During permanent and temporary exhibitions, many activities were organised in important museums such as the Vatican Museums, the Capitoline Museums, the National Gallery of Modern Art and in other important institutions. These events are always concluded with an artistic and creative workshops. | | Cleaning Away Rubbish in Spain | | The youth team in Spain has just started by Swami's blessings. Last Christmas, Swami told a few youth members to create a group and hearing the divine command they were extremely happy and started working on it. Currently, the youth team is a small group between the age of 18 to 42 years and when they organise activities they invite families and friends of all age groups to join hands. Their first activity as a youth team in their community was on February 15. The team identified the need for cleaning as a community service in the village. The village has areas where rubbish accumulates and nobody cleans it. | | Library, Monthly Satsangs, Website and More | Ever since dearest Swami's Divine visit to the Netherlands in April 2016, a group of young devotees have bonden together to offer ourselves for Swami's mission. Swami had lovingly named and blessed the Netherlands group – 'Sai Anandam'. Swami Commanded the group to create a multi-faith library in the Netherlands. Through His infinite compassion, He guided them step-by-step along the way - from choosing the location to putting the right furniture in place. Each and every item like the bookshelves, the flooring, the walls, all came together from different sources, but they all perfectly matched! It was like divine puzzle pieces coming together. The group knew it is the Lord, after all, who is the Divine designer! In 2016, during the divine visit to the Netherlands, Swami graciously inaugurated the Sai Anandam Library. The library now holds over 3,000 individual records, with books of different religions and of more than 40 spiritual masters, and from over 12 languages. Swami instructed the group to expand the collection and so they continuously register new books from different religions and philosophies. | | | | | | |
