PREGUNTAS Y RESPUESTAS: 22 DE ABRIL DE 2015

En un satsang que tuvo lugar en la presencia divina en Croacia, el 22 de abril de 2015, un devoto preguntó por qué envió una circular de la Organización Sai pidiendo devotos y barreras de oficina no tomar parte en Satsangs y otras actividades relacionadas con la forma sutil.

Pregunta: Swami, sé que sabes todo acerca de nosotros. No sólo yo, pero creo que muchos de nosotros queremos saber la respuesta a esta pregunta. I was deeply surprised and pained about this. According to this mandate, from tomorrow, I am no longer an office bearer in the Sai Organisation. I just couldn't think of not coming to this holy place for Bhagawan's darshan. There was not a question of choice, for me. I simply wanted to be here today. I think that this is a very important moment, when we can know the real truth.
Swami: All that we do in our lives is only for one purpose: to realize our Divinity. Everything else is a waste. Whether you are part of this organisation or that organisation, unless it helps you reach Me, who is within you, it is a waste. A magnet will attract an iron piece and not sand. Love will attract love. Fear will attract fear. Anger will attract anger. The entire universe is based on this law of attraction. It is nothing but reflection, reaction and resound. Whatever you say, do, or think, the world reflects it back. Have you ever been to the mountainside? You shout your name and your name comes back to you like a resound. If you stand in front of the mirror and smile at the mirror, the mirror smiles back. If you think of others with respect, they too will think of you with respect. Ignorance makes us believe the untruth to be truth. Just like, in the darkness, you think a rope is a snake and get afraid. You will know the truth only when you go closer, and throw some light on the rope and see for yourself. Standing far away in the darkness, imagining the rope to be a snake, you will live your entire life in fear and die that way. However, with a little courage, if you come forward, throw light and see for yourself, you will know the truth and become fearless. Not even making an attempt to know will lead to ignorance.
Now that you have come here and have experienced Swami's love and presence, you have a far greater responsibility than you had earlier. Why are you in the Organisation? To serve more people, to guide more people, to share Swami's love with more people. That you can continue to do. In fact, you should continue to do it in a much bigger way. That is the only way everyone else will know that your heart has truly been touched by Swami. The presence of Swami here can be proved not by words, discussions or arguments, but only through the actions that you will undertake now. Do much more seva than you did before. Speak much more lovingly than you did before. Be much more compassionate than you were before. Let the world know that your heart has been touched by Swami's presence and has been transformed into Swami's heart. That is the only way to tell the truth. Follow the heart.
Whether any religion, organisation, or institution, we must not lose the sight of the purpose. Whether you travel by a car, bus or train, these are only vehicles to help you move. The destination should be clear. You must not lose sight of your purpose.
My advice to those who have been part of the Organisation and have been working all through to serve humanity, and spread Swami's love to all, is not to quit just because someone spoke a few harsh words out of ignorance, fear or anger. Rather, go back with so much more love in your heart to them, engage yourself in much more seva than before. That would be the right kind response to this problem. I am not here to create more institutions and organisations. The world already has many, and all are fighting with each other. As an Avatar, I did not come to create another religion. My only purpose was that a Hindu should become a better Hindu, a Christian, a better Christian, a Muslim, a better Muslim, but I did not come to create more religions. Even now, I am not here to create more institutions or organisations. What are they for? They are just vehicles on the road. I am the road. I am the destination. So, whichever way you can serve more people, do it, by all means.
For those, who are afraid, out of ignorance, show some light of love through seva, and that will help them see things in the clear light. This way, not only will you help yourself, but even them. Fire can be extinguished with water, not fire. For a small fire, a little water is enough, but for a big fire, you need rain. Go back as a raincloud full of love, and shower this rain on all those who are afraid and angry. That is the way you can win all their hearts. Become better in whatever you are doing in the organisations. Do it with greater zeal and enthusiasm. Now, the father has retired. It is up to the children to take up the responsibility, work hard, and grow this business of love. I will be known because of you and your work. That is the only way the world will know that Swami is still around. Do it.

Swami: Desprendimiento o la renuncia se llama vairagya. Para lograr esto, se requiere otra cualidad, que se llama viveka, o discriminación. Que es un devoto de Sai Baba? 'Devoto' no es un título que puede reclamar para sí mismo. Sólo Dios debe decirle que usted es un devoto y, si no lo hace, no se puede decir que eres uno.
¿Dónde está el Dios que te dice? Él está dentro de ti. Desde dentro, Él le dirá. Cuando usted habla la verdad, tu corazón te dice que has dicho la verdad. Cuando usted se acuesta, tu corazón te dice que estás mintiendo.
Nadie más puede decir si lo que está haciendo es correcto o incorrecto. Por lo tanto, se olvidan de lo que otros dicen! Piense en lo que dice tu corazón, ya que es lo que estoy enseñando. ¿Cuánto tiempo vas a vivir en base a lo que otros dicen? Es una vida artificial. En un satsang que tuvo lugar en la presencia divina en Turquía, el 3 de abril de 2017, un devoto preguntó si todo es la voluntad de Dios, entonces, ¿por qué los seres humanos otorgado con libre albedrío.

Pregunta: Si Dios ordena todo, ¿qué pasa con la libre voluntad de los seres humanos?
Swami: Por amor, un padre da el dinero suelto a su hijo. El padre ha ganado ese dinero, pero le da al niño a pasar de la manera que el niño quiere, sólo por su alegría. In a satsang held in the divine presence at Rome, Italy, on 21 April, 2016, a devotee asked, what is the meaning of renunciation and detachment, and how to reach that state.
And here is what Swami said:
Question: Can You explain the meaning of the words 'renunciation' and 'detachment'? How can we reach that state?
Swami: Detachment or renunciation is called vairagya. To attain this, another quality is required, which is called viveka, or discrimination. Discrimination helps you to understand what is to be kept and what is to be given up. It helps you understand what is good and what is not; what is real and what is unreal. Only once you have discrimination, will you be able to understand and practice detachment. Giving up all that which is not true is renunciation, or vairagya. Therefore, renouncing does not mean giving up anything and everything without discriminating. With a sense of discrimination, giving up only that which is unreal, which is untrue, which is untruth – that is detachment. It does not mean that you give up everything and anything. You can use the world around you, but do not be attached to it. All the things that are around you – your family, your job, your relations, your knowledge – all this can be put to use. However, do so with a sense of knowledge that it is all unreal and you should not be attached to it. You may hire a taxi to go to a certain place, you may like the taxi very much, but you do not get attached to the taxi, because in your mind, you have discriminated and you know it does not belong to you. You have only hired it to reach your destination, and however nice and comfortable it might be, in the end you have come out of it and let it go. This understanding will help you remain detached.
It has become late. The answers to all your questions are within you. The book to all your answers is right in your hand; you can read it for yourself. You do not have to depend on somebody to read it out to you when you are already educated. Therefore, all that you want to ask Me here, I am ready to answer for you within yourself. You must find silence, both physical and mental, and cut off all the noise, so that you can hear My voice within. All that you have yet to ask, which cannot be answered this way, be assured, if you have real yearning to find the answers, Swami will provide the answers in many ways. More than anything else, Swami, the Embodiment of all the Wisdom, is right within you. Connect to that Swami within and find the answers within. Nobody should die of thirst sitting on the banks of a river. The fountain of joy and wisdom is within you. Do not keep yourself thirsty. Plunge within and drink from that nectar of Divinity within. Practice and perfect it.
My blessings are in abundance, but one can only carry so much water as the size of the vessel. Therefore, you have to make efforts to benefit from My Grace. With My Grace and your effort, anything can be achieved. I bless you that you all will make efforts and realise the truth of your Divinity, shed away all the layers of untruth and abide in the state of bliss always. Be happy, make others happy, then Swami will be happy.

In a satsang held in the divine presence at California, USA, on 19 June, 2016, a devotee asked how to cope with all the challenges and others expectation, and should one develop fear for God.
And here is what Swami said:
Question: Swami, I try to be a kind and compassionate individual. I try to lead a life of love and service, yet many times I am told, "You are not doing a good job." Swami, I am not a vegetarian. I have tried, but it doesn't work for me. I get a lot of bad looks and even bad thoughts from people, even Sai devotees! I am also told that I should be fearful of You because I am not a Sai Baba devotee.
Swami: Who taught you all that? (Laughter) Fear of God is taught by people who have not understood God. Daiva preethi, papa beethi, sanga neethi (love for God, fear of sin and morality in society) – this is the way. Fear of God and love for Sin will not lead to morality; it will lead to mortality.
However, you are your own judge; you know yourself best. You yourself know if your hunger will be satisfied by eating a little or eating a lot. Other people cannot know what should be served to you, to satisfy your hunger.
What people say or don't say is the second part of your question. First, you must understand for yourself what you need to do to be a good human being.
Who is a devotee of Sai Baba? 'Devotee' is not a title you can claim for yourself. God alone must tell you that you are a devotee and, unless He does so, you cannot call yourself one.
Where is the God who tells you? He is within you. From within, He will tell you. When you speak the truth, your heart tells you that you have spoken the truth. When you lie, your heart tells you that you are lying.
No one else can tell you whether what you are doing is right or wrong. So, forget what others are saying! Think of what your heart says, as that is what I am teaching. How long are you going to live based on what others say? It is an artificial life. You are constantly pretending to be somebody just to please others or just to be in their good books.
First ask yourself, "What is my opinion about myself? Can I look in a mirror and say that I am good?" If yes, you do not need anybody else's confirmation, because God within you is telling you whether you are right or wrong.
Narasimha Murthy just spoke about the time when Jesus was preaching. There were powerful people who said, "You are not teaching correctly. You are blasphemous! You are misleading the people!" Did Jesus worry about it? He knew in His heart that He was doing the right thing. If something is right, even if a thousand people come and say it is wrong, it will not become wrong. If something is wrong, even if thousands come and say it is right, it will not become right.
When you are good, everything around you, everyone around you will also be good. You will see them in that vision of goodness that you will develop from within. Therefore, do not go by what others say or think.
Spirituality is an individual journey. You must take it upon yourself to find out what you are, who you are and how you are. You must do whatever it takes to become the person that will please God within. If you please God, you will please everyone. If you try to please everyone, you may not please God. Ask God who is within and He will guide you how to be, and don't worry about other people. (Applause)

Though everything is God's will, He allows the child to have a little for his own use

In a satsang held in the divine presence at Turkey, on 3 April, 2017, a devotee asked if everything is God's will then why are human beings bestowed with free will.
And here is what Swami said:
Question: If God ordains everything, what about the free will of human beings?
Swami: Out of love, a father gives pocket money to his child. The father has earned that money, but gives it to the child to spend it the way the child wants, just for its joy. The child may spend it unwisely, or may spend it wisely, based on the goodness of the child – but, what would the child who has complete faith in the father and loves the father do? He would take that money and give it back to the father, saying, "Father! You know best how to spend it on me. As I may misuse it, please take it, and you decide how to spend it on me. You take care of me in all ways. Without my asking, you provide everything. Why do you want to give me this money? You keep it. I will ask you directly for whatever I want, for I trust you more than myself. I may misuse it, but you will never misuse it."
The same way, God is the Father and man is the child. Though everything is God's will, He allows the child to have a little for his own use. The child who thinks, 'Oh! Now I have free will, let me do as I want,' may misuse it, whilst those who are totally devoted to God will say to Him, "I surrender my mind, my will, everything to You. You will look after me, so I don't need any of this because I don't trust myself. I may misuse it." That is how God's will has been bestowed on every human, but unless man again surrenders it back to God, He will not take it, just as the father would not take the money given to his child.
Spirituality refers either to when the child grows and becomes the wise father, using his will correctly, or simply surrendering it to God, becoming a devotee and using His will correctly. Anoraneeyan mahato maheeyan – bigger than the biggest or smaller than the smallest; either he should become as big as God Himself, or he should become small, small, small, as a servant of God, and surrender. These are the two ways that your will merges with God's will. That is the truth behind free will.
